While AI doesn't have a creative vision of its own, it can help you focus yours. Diffusion brings easy-to-use generative AI into SketchUp to quickly generate concept visuals to inspire your creative process and support your design narrative at any stage of your project.
Bring your vision into focus
When combined with SketchUp's powerful and flexible 3D modeling capabilities, Diffusion offers an approachable addition to your toolkit that helps you develop professional visualizations with virtually no learning curve. Produce photorealistic or stylized concept renderings by combining a snapshot of your SketchUp model with a text description or by selecting one of Diffusion's predefined output styles.
Achieve alignment faster
Once you've generated images you like, you have the option to save them to your camera roll. Better yet, click Add Scene. While presenting and navigating through saved Scenes, capture feedback directly on the iPad by sketching with Markup mode. You can then take that Markup back to Diffusion, to generate new concepts that use your model and the markup together as input.
See where this is going? Build a basic model. Create concept visuals with Diffusion. Tell the story. Capture feedback directly in the SketchUp file. Feed it back into Diffusion. The Settings sliders let you decide how closely Diffusion will adhere (or not!) to what you've drawn in SketchUp and the extent to which the text prompts influence the output. Dialing the settings lets you generate images that transform your geometry, delivering fresh ideas and opening up a new source of inspiration.

While we see great potential for AI to be used as an ideation partner and production assistant, we've designed Diffusion so that the vision for your project remains squarely in your domain. Ultimately, you control the input by combining the 3D models you've created, the text prompts you've crafted, along with any hand-drawn markups you may have added. You determine the output by selecting the most appropriate style and settings, and you control how you use the results.
