What is SketchUp AI?
SketchUp AI is an add-on subscription that amplifies your existing workflows with trusted AI tools, simplifying modeling, visualization, and navigation within the SketchUp ecosystem. Get started and excel in SketchUp with ease.
How will SketchUp AI help me with my work?
SketchUp AI increases efficiency by integrating AI capabilities directly into SketchUp to help you tackle the work you need to get done. AI functionality includes rendering, 3D geometry creation, and a Help chat where you can go to ask specific questions about your workflow, modeling needs, or the SketchUp ecosystem.
Can I use SketchUp AI for free?
How can I access SketchUp AI?
SketchUp AI can be accessed in any of our modelers: SketchUp for Desktop, SketchUp for iPad, and SketchUp for Web. AI Render and AI Assistant are built natively into SketchUp for iPad and Web and available as extensions for SketchUp for Desktop. Versions from SketchUp for Desktop 26.1 and up natively include AI Render and AI Assistant. The extensions are compatible with all supported versions of SketchUp.

How much does SketchUp AI cost?
SketchUp AI is available as a monthly add-on subscription for $11.99 per month. It can only be purchased in addition to Go, Pro, or Studio subscription.
Can I cancel my SketchUp AI subscription?
You can effectively cancel your subscription at any time by turning off auto-renew in the Admin Console. You’ll retain access to SketchUp AI for the remainder of the subscription term, but you will not be charged again.
Can I purchase an annual SketchUp AI subscription?
Not at this time. SketchUp AI is currently available as a monthly subscription.
How can I manage my SketchUp AI subscription?
SketchUp AI subscriptions can be managed by logging into the Trimble Admin Console with your Trimble ID.

What are SketchUp AI credits?
AI credits are a unit of measurement for the use of AI features. Think of them like a digital currency that is "spent" each time you complete an action using a specific AI tool. Different actions "cost" a different number of credits based on the computational power required.
How do AI credits work?
Credits are "spent" or consumed each time you generate a result with an AI tool. Each tool "costs" a different number of credits based on the computational power required. In SketchUp, there are two credit balances you might see: Included credits that come with your base SketchUp subscription and SketchUp AI credits, if you’ve purchased the AI subscription.
How many credits does each AI feature cost?
Help: Free, no credits consumed
AI Render: 5 credits for each generation (3 images generated)
Generate Object: 30 credits for each generation (1 object generated)
Are there different types of AI credits?
No. All credits are the same in terms of value and what they can be used for, but AI tools consume different amounts of credits based on the computing power required to generate a result.
Can I purchase more SketchUp AI credits?
For a higher monthly credit balance, you can purchase the SketchUp AI subscription, which gives you 1500 AI credits per month in addition to the credits included with your SketchUp subscription. The AI subscription can only be purchased by account owners. Follow prompts in-app to purchase SketchUp AI. If you’re part of an organization and not the account owner, you’ll see prompts to send a request for SketchUp AI to your account owner.
Where can I see my remaining credit balance?
Each SketchUp modeler (Desktop, iPad, Web) has a new credit counter built into the user interface. This new AI hub is where users can launch AI tools or check their credit balance. It shows remaining credits and the number of days until the credit balance resets.
When do credits renew?
Included credits renew monthly on the date of your base subscription purchase.
SketchUp AI credits renew monthly on the date of your SketchUp AI purchase.
Do credits expire?
SketchUp AI is a monthly subscription, which means the credit balance automatically resets each month. Credits don’t have an expiration date, but they also don’t roll over month to month.
Are AI credits included in my SketchUp subscription?
Yes. Go, Pro, and Studio subscriptions include AI credits to use each month. This included credit balance resets every month. Credits per subscription:
Go = 100 credits
Pro, Pro Scan and Pro Advanced Workflows = 150 credits
Studio = 200 credits
Studio for Higher Education = 200 credits
